Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNO): The Zojila Pass has been thrown open for vehicular movement on Wednesday and 284 passengers have crossed towards Kargil, officials said. As per the latest traffic advisory issued for the Zojila Axis, movement of vehicles resumed. Around 80 vehicles carrying 284 passengers have successfully crossed the pass towards Kargil, they said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the road had been cleared of snow, making it safe for travel. However, weather conditions in the area can change rapidly, and travellers are advised to exercise caution and adhere to all traffic advisories. This development comes as a relief to many who were stranded on either side of the pass due to the recent snowfall. The Zojila Axis is a vital link between Srinagar and Kargil, and its closure often disrupts the essential movement of people and goods—(KNO)
